2019 Commemoration Shirt

This was our 2019 Armenian Genocide commemoration shirt.

The front and right sleeve feature designs inspired by the Dzidzernagapert, the Armenian Genocide memorial in Armenia.

The front depicts silhouettes of the slabs of stone that surround the eternal flame, and the sleeve’s design is our modern interpretation of the spire that is split in two to signify the growth of the Armenian people after the Genocide. The words encompassing the design on the front are recognition, restoration, and reparation.

The quote on the back is from Baruyr Sevag, one of the most prominent poets in Armenian history. The translation is included by each line: “We live. We will survive. And we will multiply.”
